I spent years working in cloud and DevOps engineering, watching teams ship infrastructure changes without any real safety gate. Misconfigured resources, missing resource limits, unreviewed autoscaler changes -- most of these never got caught until something broke in production.

As AI-Ops tools started making autonomous infrastructure decisions at scale, the problem became harder to ignore. Changes were landing in production without audit trails, without compliance checks, and with no awareness of their carbon footprint. The tooling moved fast; the governance did not.
